Chateau Elan vs. Del Webb Chateau Elan
Buyers often search these together, but they are two different communities. Chateau Elan is the gated, all-ages golf and resort community in Braselton. Del Webb Chateau Elan is a separate 55+ active-adult community next door, with its own clubhouse, single-level homes, and its own HOA. If you want the resort setting without a 55+ requirement, you're looking at Chateau Elan; if you want low-maintenance, age-restricted living nearby, look at Del Webb.
Which county is your home in?
Braselton crosses county lines, and Chateau Elan addresses can fall in different counties. That affects property taxes and school assignment, so two homes a few streets apart may not share the same district. We confirm the county, tax bill, and assigned schools for every home before you make an offer.
HOA dues and what they include
As of 2026, HOA dues are $695 per quarter (about $2,780 a year), which includes the community swim, tennis and fitness center. Golf memberships are separate from HOA dues. We'll confirm current dues and any membership options for the specific home you're considering.
The golf courses
Chateau Elan Golf Club has 45 holes across three courses. The Chateau Course is an 18-hole, par-71 championship layout of about 7,030 yards with three lakes, two streams and water in play on 10 holes. The Woodlands Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout of about 6,735 yards through rolling, tree-lined terrain and lakes. There's also a separate 9-hole, par-3 Executive Course — a walking course with holes from under 100 to over 200 yards, great for beginners or a quick evening round. Course details are from Chateau Elan and can change, so check with the club for current play and membership options.
Winery, restaurants and the resort
The resort side of Chateau Elan includes the winery and tasting room, the hotel and spa, and a lineup of restaurants: Marc (the upscale chophouse), Versailles Restaurant & Bar, Fleur de Lis by the spa lake, Louis' House of Bourbon, Paddy's Irish Pub, Sarazen's Bar & Grille overlooking the 18th green, Le Petit Café for coffee, and Le Soleil by the pool. Hours and venues change seasonally, so check Chateau Elan's dining page before you go. Downtown Braselton's restaurants are just a short drive away too.
Homes inside the gates
Home sizes vary a lot — some homes are around 3,000 square feet while estate homes reach 8,000 square feet and up. Yards range from about 0.3 of an acre to more than 2 acres, and prices generally run from about $700K to $2 million+. Because Chateau Elan sits right off I-85 at Exit 126 (Highway 211), commuting toward Atlanta or Athens is straightforward while still feeling tucked away.
Oxley Village: European character and courtyard living
Oxley Village is an enclave within Chateau Elan, not a separate community. Around Allee Way and Chickasaw Lane, European and French-inspired cottage architecture, tree-lined streets, cobblestone curbs, private brick courtyards and carriage-style garages give it a village feel. Compared with the larger estate lots found elsewhere inside the gates, its smaller courtyard lots suit buyers who prefer less yard to maintain. It is near the Chateau Elan Sports Club and the Thompson Mill Road gate. The difference is the architecture, streetscape and lot layout—not a separate resort or a 55+ requirement. Confirm the home's maintenance responsibilities and current amenity access before buying.
